By using modeling clay can be used to shape or fill in a port in some space, its not uncommon to find that filling in the floor of a port might not hurt the flow at all because not a great deal of air runs along there. You can check it out without having to weld and cut and see the effects. Very easy to use for smoothing and blending in transition areas of the port or runner.
